The Latest Shipment.

The Boss sent through a kind of shopping list, not long after he went back. He wants another bundle of stuff for his "Little" Missus. (She's twice my size! I've stolen a lot of things since I've been in Sunnydale. One of them would been that Talisman if I'd realised that it gets the wearer every kind of chocolate made - and there's every kind of catalogue you can imagine! Is he really going to get her anything she wants from those?)
He wanted a laptop that doesn't run through his own LAN, so I just picked up the first I saw. I've thought about it since (and I read that "Guidelinesfor Minions" booklet.) I guess I was kind of stupid to take one from the Inn. It was a risk - and I'm not hustling for every cent any more, I get retainers from him and from Wolfram and Hart both. If they do start hunting a thief here - well, it could be trouble. I might just put that back - I can just as easily take one from a shop.
The item that did give me trouble was the GECs! I sent off a few, but he wanted what he called fast food, and a breeding pair. They've had the ones I sent checked and they're all female, so now they want more.
I was catching them in a deep solid box, right where they drop out of the duct into the Inn kitchen, when Helen Morris walked in! (I hadn't even got the Changing Shades glamour on, although I'm wearing it now! I knew she was here at the Inn - but I so did not need a surprise like that!)
She'd got a dark guy with her - as soon as I said who the GECs were for this greckle said he was Erynne's brother! I wasn't saying anything unless he proved it, so he went all wolfed at me. (Ugly son-of-a-bitch, too. I thought werewolves kind of caught it from each other, but this lot may pass it on the oldfashioned way, too. The Warfield greckle was born were. )
The guy lugged the crate-full of GECs up to the third floor for me, and left to take Helen Morris "hunting". They did go outside. I watched from the window until they were well away. Then I took the crate straight back down, through the cellers and into the cave where the portal opens.
When I first did it I thought the Caller just sounded an alarm in the other dimension, but it's a proper communicator. I gave them an edited version of what had happened and a voice said it was noted and they'd get back to me.
I went back up and boosted spray polish out of the office as I passed - nice strong vanilla. I sprayed that up and down the staircase and in all the corridors, and in the elevator. Then I took scented toilet cleaner and trailed that from the third floor to the fifth. With any luck they'd think I used the toilet cleaner to cover my trail and was up there somewhere.
I'd seen Helen start getting her own facial hair problem. Weres are worth good money in the right market. I was hunting them a while back, and now I may know where the ones in LA went. Probably not a good to sell the Boss' in-laws, unless he wants rid, but Helen wouldn't matter...
Then I had a thought and went to check to the window. It looks as though it's nearly full moon. Maybe it wasn't really a good idea to put the Trank guns from the office here in the last lot of stuff I sent to the Boss?
